Mark Costello

Designer and Owner:
Mark P. Costello

I have been in the Home Design and Construction business for over 45 years. I received a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Oregon in 1980. With my design education, continuing education, and onsite construction experience, I have an excellent ability to blend good DESIGN with high-quality construction projects.

My goal is to have my clients project their lifestyle to the physical environment the project is built on. This includes taking advantages of views, sun, slope, and use of the site. I have always believed that good design and construction can make a great environment for living and growing.

I keep current with all new and old aspects of design, products, technology, and cost of construction. Informing my clients of the costs of construction and current public infrastructure costs helps them to make good choices in the project.

C-HOME DESIGN LLC originally was, Costello Design LLC and MP Costello Design and Construction LLC. In recent years I have shortened the name and consolidated my professional design business and the general contracting business under one name C-HOME DESIGN LLC. Under this new name, I can provide design and general contracting services for my clients. Also, I can provide insight and assist clients who have hired their own contractor.

My history: I was born and raised in Bellingham and currently live here with my wife. We have 4 amazing adult children and 3 grandchildren. I am active in my community in many ways, including a member of the Bellingham Central Lions and past president. I commercial fished for 10 years prior to my design work. I was a member of the Mt. Baker Ski Patrol as a Mountain Host for 18 years and as a volunteer/past president of the Komo Kulshan Ski Club. I owned and operated the Cookie Café in downtown Bellingham for 11 years, so there are always fresh cookies here when we talk about your project!
